SAVE Project partners from the University of Novi Sad presented the project at the Fair of Education.
The project
SAVE – Sport Against Violence and Exclusion – is a two-year-project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union: Support to Collaborative Partnerships
Focus
In our modern society is crucial to promote important values such as respect and inclusion and to counteract bad behaviours like violence and exclusion.
Youths and pupils engaged in sport activities can show, due to their personal background or attitude, sign of intolerance and roughness. Since we believe that sport is one of the best tool to shape personality, it is important to teach and foster positive values and intervene with the right tools when negative behaviour occur.
SAVE wants to give trainers and coaches methodologies and tools to best react to situations in which pupils and youths engage in negative attitudes that leads to violence or exclusion.
Objective
The main objectives of SAVE project are:
• To recognise and increase the acquisition of skills and competencies such as discipline, team-work and perseverance through informal learning activities in sport.
• To support sport clubs which practice grass-root sport in order to increase their services and engage young people in sport.
• To support inter-cultural dialogue, sense of belonging and participation through key sport competencies contributing to social cohesion and integrated societies.
